The Quasar UV60-Turbo from MKS | Spectra-Physics is UV & Green Hybrid Fiber Laser that operates at a wavelength of 355 nm. It delivers an output power of greater than 38 W and has a maximum pulse energy above 12 μJ. This laser has a beam-pointing stability of up to ± 25 μrad/°C and power stability of 3% (after warm-up). It has a pulse-to-pulse energy stability below 5%, pulse repetition rate up to 3.5 MHz, and pulse width of up to 2 ns - 100 ns. This pulsed laser produces a beam of diameter 3.5 ± 0.35 mm and has a beam asymmetry of less than 1.1.
The Quasar UV60-Turbo has a beam divergence below 0.3 mrad and boresight tolerance of ± 0.5 mm & ± 5 mrad. It has an optional safety shutter and a replaceable output window. This vertically polarised laser has TEM00 spatial mode with beam quality factor (M2) of up to 1.3 and polarization extinction ratio of 100:1. It can be controlled via a TimeShift GUI interface and is EU-28 RoHS and China RoHS compliant. This laser is built using Timeshift ps programmable burst-mode technology to enable pulse shaping and pulse splitting & burst mode operation.
The Quasar UV60-Turbo requires an AC supply voltage of 190 V - 240 V and dissipates up to 2000 W of power. It is available in a compact module that measures 1000 (L) mm x 373 (W) mm x 235 (H) mm (laser head) and 536 (L) mm x 483 (W) mm x 176 (H) mm (power supply). This laser is ideal for glass cutting & drilling, PCB drilling, PCB cutting & depaneling, HDI (high density interconnects), Si crystallization, Si wafer dicing, low K dielectric grooving, ceramic processing, LED processing, solar cell processing, ITO patterning, photolithography, CFRP cutting and drilling, thin film planar battery cutting, drilling & scribing MDM polymers applications.
