The Firestar i401 CO2 laser provides 400 watts of near-perfect beam quality from a single tube, with 45° linear polarization for high-precision applications. Built around a hybrid waveguide/unstable resonator design, it is driven by four field-replaceable integrated 48V RF modules resulting in a rise time of less than 100 μs. Due to the single tube design, the laser weighs 24% less than competitive lasers – an important factor when mounting on moving gantry systems or robotic motion systems.
The i401 operates at duty cycles ranging from less than 10% all the way up to 100% (full CW operation). This laser also includes a TCP/IP web-based Internet interface that allows access to information about LED and RF module status – including voltage, current, and temperature measurements using a standard web browser to manage laser operation and ensure optimal performance.
