The CTL 1550 from TOPTICA Photonics is a Tunable Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1510 nm - 1630 nm. It delivers an output power above 50 mW and has a maximum scan speed of 10 nm/s. This continuous wave laser has an absolute accuracy of less than 150 pm and a relative accuracy of up to 10 pm. It has a piezo scan rate of 35 GHz, piezo step size of less than 5 kHz, and linewidth of up to 10 kHz. This vertically polarized laser has a polarization extinction ratio of 100:1 and fiber coupling efficiency above 50%. The CTL 1550 has an active SMILE (Single Mode Intelligent Loop Engine) feedback loop and a DLC pro controller. It can be remotely controlled via touch screen & knobs, PC GUI & Python SDK command language, or Ethernet interfaces. This laser requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 120 V or 220 V - 240 V and consumes up to 50 W of power. It is available in an optomechanical design that measures 370 (L) mm x 150 (W) mm x 90 (H) mm (laser head) and 450 (L) mm x 348 (W) mm x 154 (H) mm (control unit).
