The iBeam smart PT 445 from TOPTICA Photonics is a Continuous-wave (CW) Diode Laser that operates at a wavelength of 445 nm. This fiber-coupled diode laser delivers an output power of 50 mW with power stability of ± 2 %. It has an RMS noise of less than 2 % and a beam quality factor (M2) of up to 1.1. This diode laser produces a circular beam that has an ellipticity of less than 10%. It supports FC/AFC connectors (standard) and other connectors like FC/PC, FC/APC, or SC are available on request. This linearly polarized diode laser has a polarization ratio of over 100:1 and an orientation tolerance of ± 3°. The output fiber cable has a bend radius of 40 mm with a mode field diameter of 3.0 μm and a numerical aperture of 0.06. For the digital modulation option, It has an extinction ratio of over 1000:1 with a rise/fall time of less than 1.5 ns.

This diode laser is CE marked, class IIIb qualified with level 4 ESD protection, and is RoHS compliant. It can be controlled via a RS 232 PC interface. This diode laser system requires a DC voltage of 12 V and consumes less than 18 W of power. It is available in a package that measures 40(H) x 40(W) x 145 mm(D) (laser head) and 40(H) x 40(W) x 195(D) mm (laser head with fiber minimum bend radius).
