The Model 248/310 from McPherson is a Grazing Incidence UV Monochromator that is built in a Rowland Circle configuration. This device operates from 1 to 310 nm and has a focal length of 1 m with a spectral resolution of up to 0.16  nm. It has a grating size of  20 mm x 25 mm and the grazing angles on this monochromator improve reflective efficiency which ensures a good focus and spectral resolution. This monochromator consists of a chord-length meter and has a manually operable wavelength drive for accurate and reproducible wavelength positioning. It is well equipped with adjustable slits, in vacuum grating-focus adjustment, high precision wavelength drive, and filter insertion slide. This instrument can be built with an angle of incidence from 84 to 88 degrees depending on the application. It is available in a compact housing form and is ideal for XUV, soft X-ray (SXR), and extreme UV applications.
