The BXT2S-28T from Opto Diode Corporation is a Two Stage Cooled PbSe Single-Channel IR Detector with a peak sensitivity wavelength from 4.3 to 4.5 µm.  It has a responsivity/photosensitivity of 7.5 x 104 V/W and has an active element area of 4 mm2. This IR detector has a specific detectivity of 3.5 x 1010 cm Hz1/2 W-1 and shunt resistance of 1-15 MΩ. It is designed for cooled and uncooled devices and has the fastest response speed for mid-IR applications. The detector provides additional sensitivity for very low-level signal detection and offers enhanced stability for environments where temperatures are in constant flux. It is available in a TO8 package that measures 2 x 2 mm with a flat sapphire window and is ideal for medical and industrial gas analysis, emissions monitoring, spectroscopy, process control systems, thermal imaging, defense & security applications.
