The FFC-100 from Vescent Photonics is an Octave-Spanning Optical Frequency Comb that operates at a center wavelength of 1560 nm. It delivers an average output power above 30 mW and has a wavelength accuracy of ±10 nm. This OFC has a linewidth of 125 KHz and an optical bandwidth of greater than 1000 nm. It has repetition rates of 80 MHz, 100 MHz, 200 MHz, or 250 MHz, an open-loop repetition rate stability of less than 1 ppm/°C, and a signal-to-noise ratio of above 35 dB. This OFC has an oscillator bandwidth above 10 nm and electrical pump power modulation bandwidth of 1 MHz. It has a polarization extinction ratio of over 20 dB and an oscillator monitor output power of greater than 5 mW.
The FFC-100 is a turn-key device and comprises an Er-doped mode-locked femtosecond laser. It has a built-in supercontinuum generator module with an oscillator, amplifier, and Carrier-Envelope Offset frequency detection & lock. This OFC requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and consumes a maximum power of up to 40 W. It has FC/APC fiber outputs and is available in a single 19" rack mountable package that measures 19" x 10" x 3.5". This OFC is ideal for time & frequency readout & transfer, frequency ruler, dual- and multi-comb spectroscopy, quantum sensing, computing, cryptography, and low-phase noise RF generation applications.
