The OM-0C2CM100 from Optoplex Corporation is an Optical Wavelength Meter that measures wavelength from 1530 nm to 1625 nm (C band & L band). It can simultaneously report 80 wavelength values of 80 channels at 50 GHz channel spacing with a wavelength accuracy of up to 2.5 GHz. This wavelength meter has a wavelength repeatability of ± 0.5 GHz and a wavelength resolution of up to 0.3 nm at FWHM. It can measure an input power from -40 to -10 dBm and consumes up to 2 W of power. This wavelength meter has a response time of 1000 ms and an S/N Ratio of - 55 dBm. It can be controlled via DPRAM, RS-232, and USB Interfaces.
The OM-0C2CM100 features high dynamic range, low-temperature sensitivity, built-in wavelength reference, firmware upgradation option, and Telcordia gr-468 reliability qualification. It uses a proprietary thin-film interference filter with Fabry-Perot cavity technology combined with a micro-actuator and high-speed electronics. This wavelength meter is available in a module that measures 121 x 92 mm and is ideal for optical performance monitoring of DWDM systems, multi-wavelength monitoring for wavelength locking, system alarms or error warnings, portable OSA/spectrometer, fiber-optic sensing applications (from pressure to temperature to strain), and fiber Bragg grating sensor analyzer applications.
