The SFH 2400 from ams OSRAM is a Silicon PIN Photodiode that operates at a wavelength of 850 nm. It has a spectral range of 380 nm - 1100 nm and produces a photocurrent of 10 µA. This photodiode has a radiant sensitive area of 1.00 mmand the active chip area measures 1 (L) mm x 1 (W) mm. It has a spectral sensitivity of 0.65 A/W (at 870 nm) and quantum yield of 0.93 electrons/photon. This photodiode has a rise & fall time of 0.005 µs, half angle of 60°, and dark current of 1 nA.

The SFH 2400 has a switching time of 5 ns, noise equivalent power of 0.028 pW/Hz12, and detection limit of 3.6e12 cm x Hz1/2/W. This photodiode has a forward voltage of 1.3 V and maximum reverse voltage of 50 V. It has a capacitance of 11 pF and an open-circuit voltage of 320 mV. This photodiode has a short-circuit current of 10 µA and dissipates 120 mW of power. It is available in a clear epoxy package and is ideal for electronic equipment, LiDAR, pre-crash, ACC, and rain sensors applications.
