The BXP-25SE from Opto Diode Corporation is a Single Channel PbSe based Photodiode that offers the fastest response speed for Mid-IR applications. It has an active element area of 4 sq. mm and a detectivity of 2 x 10^10 cm-sqrt.Hz/W. The photodiode has a peak sensitivity wavelength of 3.8 µm and provides a responsivity of 1.5 x 10^4 V/W. It has a resistance of 0.7-2.5 MΩ and a time constant of up to 5 µs. The IR photodiode provides high signal-to-noise performance for a wide dynamic range. It is available in a TO5 package with a flat sapphire window and is suitable for medical/industrial gas analysis, emissions monitoring, spectroscopy, process control systems, thermal imaging, and defense & security applications.
