The BXT2S-68TE from Opto Diode Corporation is a PbSe based Single Channel Photodiode that offers the fastest response speed for Mid-IR applications. It has a peak sensitivity wavelength ranging from 4.3 to 4.5 μm and provides a responsivity from 1.65 x 104 to 2.5 x 104 V/W. This photodiode has an active element area of 36 mm2 and a minimum specific detectivity of 1.5 x 1010 cm HZ1/2 W-1. It has a resistance of 1-15 MΩ and a time constant of 12-25 µs. This IR photodiode provides high signal-to-noise performance across a wide dynamic range. It is available in a TO8 package with a flat sapphire window and is suitable for medical/industrial gas analysis, emissions monitoring, spectroscopy, process control systems, thermal imaging, and defense & security applications.
