The PIN-DSS from OSI Optoelectronics is a Silicon-Silicon Dual Sandwich Photodiode that has a spectral range of 400 nm - 1100 nm (Si top) and 950 nm - 1100 nm (Si). It has a peak wavelength of 950 nm (Si top) & 1060 nm (Si) with an active area diameter of 2.54 mm and responsivity of 0.45 A/W (Si top) & 0.12 A/W (Si). This two color photodiode has a capacitance of 70 pF and rise time of 10 μs (Si top) & 150 μs (Si).

The PIN-DSS has a maximum reverse voltage of 5 V, shunt resistance of 500 MOhms (at -10mV) and noise equivalent power of 1.3 x e -14 W/√Hz (Si top) & 4.8 x e -14 W/√Hz (Si). It is available in a compact hermetically sealed TO-5 Can package and is ideal for flame temperature sensing, spectrophotometer, dual-wavelength detection and IR thermometers for heat treating, induction heating, & other metal parts processing applications.
