The D-compact/9 from EKSMA Optics is a Deuterated Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate (DKDP) Pockels Cell that operates at a wavelength of 1064 nm. It has an optical transmission above 97% and clear aperture of diameter 8 mm. This pockels cell has a quarter wave DC voltage below 3.4 kV and capacitance of 6 pF. It has a contrast ratio greater than 1:2000 and laser-induced damage threshold (AR coatings) of over 1 GW/cm2 (10 J/cm2) (at 10 Hz, 10 ns). This pockels cell has single-crystal-based three-terminal design (on request) with protective windows on both sides. It is available in a package that measures 25.4 mm x 35 mm and is ideal for q-switching of flashlamp-pumped high energy & low repetition rate diode pumped lasers, pulse picking & laser cavity dumping applications.
