The KINETIX22 from Teledyne Photometrics is a 5.76 Megapixel Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) Camera that is designed for modern microscopes. It has a Teledyne Photometrics Kinetix sensor with a rolling/global type shutter with a field of view of 22 mm. This back-illuminated camera has a quantum efficiency of 95% and optimized line time that delivers a data rate of up to 3000 megapixels/sec. It features 6.5 x 6.5 µm pixels that provide 40x to 60x magnification. This camera can be controlled via PCI-E Gen 3 and USB 3.2 (10 Gbps) interface.
The KINETIX22 is very versatile and features four modes to prioritize different camera specs, optimize imaging, and avoid compromise. The 8 bit Speed Mode offers 498 fps across the full frame, the 12 bit Sensitivity Mode offers low 1.2 e- read noise while operating at up to 90 fps, the 16 bit Dynamic Range Mode has a large full well capacity of 15000 e- for varied signal levels in the sample and the 16 bit Sub-Electron Mode offers EMCCD like sensitivity with 0.7 e- read noise. Its spectrum capabilities include UV (200-400 nm), Visible (400-700 nm) and Near Infrared (700-1000 nm) bands.
The KINETIX22 is available in a C-mount package that measures 105 x 105 x 109.4 mm with air/liquid cooling.
