The Falcon III EMCCD from Raptor Photonics is a 1-inch back-thinned frame transfer Electron Multiplying Charge-Coupled Device (EMCCD). It has a resolution of 1024 x 1024 and a pixel size of 10 µm x 10 µm. This camera has a maximum readout noise of 1e- and a full well capacity above 20 ke-. It has a 1 MP EMCCD image sensor with an optical size of 1". This camera delivers a frame rate of 31 Hz and a dynamic range of 89 dB in the ON state and 54 dB in the OFF state. The camera consumes less than 75 W of power and can be controlled via a 16-bit Camera link interface. It has a peak quantum efficiency of 95% at 575 nm and spectral response of 300-1100 nm. 

The Falcon III EMCCD camera is based on e2v's next-generation CCD-351 sensor. It has high sensitivity, speed, and resolution. This camera is available in a C-mount package that measures 120.9 x 140.2 x 113.1 mm and is ideal for scientific applications including, adaptive optics and astronomy, calcium signaling, fluorescence imaging/spectroscopy, flow cytometry, FRET/FRAP/TIRF, genome sequencing, high content screening, high-resolution fluorescence imaging, hyperspectral imaging, live-cell imaging, photon counting, single-molecule detection, solar cell inspection and x-ray & high energy applications.
