The AvaSpec-ULS2048XL-EVO from Avantes is a Symmetrical Czerny-Turner Spectrometer that operates at a wavelength of 200 - 1160 nm covering the UV and NIR bands. It has a 2048 pixel back-thinned CCD image sensor with 300-3600 grating lines and a slit width of 10-500 μm. This spectrometer has a 16-bit ADC with a sensitivity of 460,000 counts/μW per ms integration time and quantum efficiency of 60%. It has a dynamic range of 13.700 with a readout noise of 9.8 cnt RMS and a dark noise of 4.5 cnt RMS. This spectrometer can be controlled via a USB 3.0 high-speed interface with a data transfer rate of 5 Gbps or a Gigabit Ethernet with up to 1 Gbps data rate.

The AvaSpec-ULS2048XL-EVO has large monolithic pixels of size 14 x 500 microns that provide exceptional efficiency. It also has an electronic shutter that enables integration times as low as 2 microseconds and a detector collection lens that improves sensitivity up to 60%, when combined with larger core fibers to further enhance sensitivity. This spectrometer can be powered up from a USB interface consuming 700 mA of current or an external DC supply of 12 V consuming 360 mA of current. It is available in a package that measures 175 x 127 x 44.5 mm.
