The HES from IS-Instruments are Spectrometers with an operating range from 50 to 4000 cm-1. They have a spectral resolution of up to 2 cm-1 and use optical fiber instead of a slit. The fiber measures 1 mm (standard) up to 5 mm with a numerical aperture of 0.22. They have a 100-fold increase in throughput over conventional systems which provides an increased signal-to-noise ratio. These Spectrometers have no moving parts, yet offer the advantages of a michelson interferometer with the spectral properties of a traditional diffraction grating-based device.

The HES Spectrometers are available in a Czerny-Turner design that weighs above 2 kg and have an SMF fiber with FC/PC connector. They are available as a stand-alone instrument or a fibred-coupled Raman spectrometer, typically with a 500 mW, 785 nm laser and provide a choice of detectors according to the end-user requirements from ultra-low light, cooled CCD through to simple CMOS devices. These spectrometers are ideal for raman spectroscopy, transmission raman spectroscopy, emission spectroscopy, fluorescence spectrometry, reflectance spectrometry, and astronomical applications.
