The MSP1000 from IS-Instruments is a Mass Spectrometer that has an operating range from 390 nm to 850 nm and a spectral resolution of up to 2 nm. It has a fiber core diameter of 50 µm with a numerical aperture of 0.22. This spectrometer has an acquisition rate of 10 Hz and an exposure time of 2 ms - 1 s. It has read noise of 50 counts (at maximum standard deviation) and stray light of less than 2% (at 633 nm). This spectrometer has over 98 % corrected linearity and SMA 905 connector for fiber input.
The MSP1000 can be controlled via Ethernet and Wi-Fi interfaces. It requires a DC voltage of 4.75 - 5.25 V and is compatible with 32/64-bit Windows/Mac OS X operating systems. This spectrometer is connected via simple protocol (Python, etc) and has a unique 64-bit ID allowing multiple units on the same network. It is available in a benchtop package that measures 59×108×131 mm and is ideal for common laboratory tasks like peak detection and averaging light characterization, reflectance spectrometry, fluid absorption measurements, monitoring paint pigments, and remote sensing monitoring applications.
