The FluoTime 250 from PicoQuant is a Fluorescence Spectrometer that has a spectral range of 230 nm - 1400 nm (PMT) & 220 nm - 890 nm (PMA Hybrid). It has excitation wavelengths of 375 nm - 1200 nm (picosecond pulsed laser) and 255 nm - 600 nm (pulsed LED). This spectrometer uses an optional single monochromator and has a wavelength accuracy of 0.3 nm. It has a spectral resolution of 0.3 nm and focal length of 150 mm. This spectrometer has a pulse width of 40 ps - 200 ps (picosecond pulsed laser) and 400 ps - 1 ns (pulsed LED). It has a grating density of 1200 g/mm (blazed at 500 nm) and dispersion of 5.4 nm/mm.
The FluoTime 250 has a stray light rejection of 1:10-5 nm. It has a minimum sensitivity of 10 pM and up to 32768 or 65536-time channels. This spectrometer operates in two data acquisition modes: TCSPC (Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting) and MCS (Multi-Channel Scaling). It has a maximum bin width of 4 ps, 25 ps, 250 ps (TCSPC) & 2.5 ns (MCS) and dead time of 2 ps, 95 ps, 25 ns (TCSPC) & 2.5 ns (MCS). This spectrometer is a fully automatic system that can be operated via Windows 10 operating system. It is available in a Czerny-Turner design and is ideal for fluorescence anisotropy, fluorescence spectra, fluorescence lifetime decay, and phosphorescence lifetime decay applications.
