The QSDM-1020-2 from QPhotonics is a Fiber Coupled Superluminescent Diode (SLD) that has a central wavelength of 1014 nm. It delivers an output power of up to 1.5 mW and has a low rippled spectrum of width 30 nm (FWHM). This SLD has an optional built-in monitor photodiode (PD) and a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) that consumes up to 1.5 A of current. It has a thermistor resistance of 10 kOhm and 5% ripple.
The QSDM-1020-2 requires a forward voltage of 2 V and forward current of 250 mA. It has a single-mode pigtailed Corning HI1060 fiber with a numerical aperture of 0.14 and supports FC/APC fiber optic connectors (optional). This SLD is available in a 14-pin standard butterfly package that measures 21.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 7.8 mm and is ideal for sensing, measurements & coherence tomography applications.
