The SLD1050S-A60 from Thorlabs Inc is a Single-Mode Fiber Pigtailed Superluminescent Diode (SLD) that has a central wavelength of 1050 nm. It delivers a continuous wave output power of 60 mW with an optical bandwidth of 70 nm (@ 3dB) and a gain ripple of over 0.03 dB. This SLD features RoHS compliance and has an integrated thermistor & TEC that enable temperature control, thus stabilizing its power & spectrum. The TEC requires a DC supply of 0.9 V & consumes 0.7 A of current. This SLD uses a 1.5 m long HI1060 fiber with a numerical aperture of 0.14 and a core diameter of 6.2 µm. It requires an operating voltage of 2 V and consumes up to 1010 mA of current. This SLD is available in a 14-pin butterfly package that measures 32.7 x 30 x 9.5 mm and has 2 mm narrow key FC/APC connectors. It is ideal for spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) imaging applications.
