The GTOF0503 from Gpixel Inc. is a Global Shutter CMOS Image Sensor that is specifically designed for 3D imaging applications. This monochromatic image sensor is integrated with a 3-tap state-of-the-art Video Graphics Array (VGA) iToF pixel and uses BSI (backside-illuminated) technology to provide excellent sensitivity at NIR wavelengths. It has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a pixel size of 5 x 5 μm with a frame rate of 30 fps. The image sensor requires a DC supply of 1.2-2.8 V and consumes up to 330 mW of power. It can be controlled via 4 channel CSI-2 MIPI, RAW10, and RAW12 interfaces.
The GTOF0503 uses a wafer stacking technique to enable high modulation frequencies up to 165 MHz. The 30 fps frame rate provides high depth accuracy at short, mid, and long-range distances even in challenging ambient light conditions by using the pulse modulation iToF technique. This image sensor has advanced features like multiple acquisition modes, depth with single and dual-frequency, and low-power standby mode for versatile, cost-effective, and flexible operation. It is available in a bare die/ceramic package that measures 5.344 x 4.32 mm and is ideal for machine vision, automated guided vehicles, industrial automation, bin picking, logistics, and smart factory applications.
