The CSG8K from ams AG is an 8.3 MegaPixel High-speed CMOS Image Sensor that is suitable for machine vision, and video applications. The image sensor consists of 3.2 µm pipelined global shutter pixels that allow exposure during readout while performing true CDS (Correlated Double Sampling) operation. It has a frame rate of 231 fps and supports SPI and sub-LVDS interfaces. The image sensor has 12-bit column-based ADCs to achieve high frame rates at full resolution enabling faster inspection and higher data throughputs. It consists of OB pixels for automatic black level and row noise corrections. The image sensor has a dual exposure HDR mode that can enhance its optical dynamic range and can capture fast-moving objects for better inspection and higher data throughputs. It is available in a 218-Pin LGA package that measures 22 x 20 x 3.3 mm and is ideal for 4K video, factory automation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and general machine vision applications.
