The CSG14K from ams AG is a 13.8 MP CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 3856 (H) x 3600 (V) pixels. It has a pipelined global shutter with true-CDS in a 1" optical format that delivers a frame rate of 140 fps (at 10-bit ADC) and 93 fps (at 12-bit ADC). This image sensor has a pixel pitch of 3.2 μm x 3.2 μm and full well charge of 10500 e-. It has a quantum efficiency of 64 % (at 450 nm), 66 % (at 510 nm), 51 % (at 600 nm) & 10 % (at 850 nm), and dynamic range of 69.1 dB.
The CSG14K has a responsivity of 0.276 A/W (at 510 nm) and temporal noise of 3.7 e-. This image sensor has a conversion gain of 0.386 DN/e- and dark current of 32.9 e-/s. It has a maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 40 dB and shutter efficiency of 1/11130 (at 520 nm). This image sensor has a photo response non-uniformity (PRNU) of 0.89 % RMS and dark current non-uniformity (DCNU) of 1.9 e-.
The CSG14K can achieve higher frame rates in row-windowing mode or row-subsampling mode and is programmable using an SPI interface. It has 16 sub-LVDS data output channels, each running at up to 1.25 Gbit/s. This image sensor requires a DC supply voltage of 1.28 V and consumes up to 321 mA of current. It is available in an LGA package that measures 20 mm x 22 mm and is ideal for machine vision, high-end inspection, video/broadcast, and security applications.
