HEITRONICS Infrarot Messtechnik GmbH was founded in 1995 and dates back to 1946, when Prof. Dr.-Ing. Walter Heimann first founded the company “Physikalische Technische Werkstätten” , which was later renamed Heimann GmbH. Heimann was involved in the development of various methods and measuring instruments for non-contact measurement of temperatures. In 1982 Siemens acquired Heimann GmbH, and in 1992 it was split up.
