Spectraline Inc. was formed as a spin-off in 1999 from parent company, En'Urga Inc. Spectraline's inception came from a need for a separate entity that would apply En'Urga's expertise in combustion research, to develop innovative products and bring them to the marketplace, under the Spectraline brand name.The first Mid-Infrared Imaging Spectrometer was designed and built for NASA under a SBIR grant by En'Urga Inc. Since then, the technology was developed for research and industrial applications by Spectraline- under license from En'Urga Inc.
