The 15th annual meeting of the European Light Microscopy Initiative (ELMI) will be taking place in Sitges, near Barcelona, from the 19th to 22nd May 2015. The venue is Hotel Melià Sitges, located in one of the most touristic coastal villages of the Mediterranean, thanks to its charm and tranquillity. ELMI was first set up in 2001 in order to promote the quickly developing field of light microscopy as a fundamental research tool for the life sciences and to strengthen the channels of communication between researchers and industry. The annual ELMI meeting, which has been running for the last 13 years at various venues across Europe, has an excellent reputation which is strongly recognized within the microscopy community, making this meeting a key event in the yearly meeting calendar of hundreds of scientists and developers.
