Lasers in Manufacturing encourage scientific presentations on recent developments in laser materials processing. Part of the World of Photonics Congress, LiM consists of subconferences for macro and micro applications, and joint sessions with CLEO/Europe (Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics) on ultrafast lasers, and diagnostics and control. Topics to be considered include cutting, joining and microjoining (welding and brazing), surface treatment and cladding, additive manufacturing, surface functionalization, processing of transparent materials, and ablation, drilling and microcutting.
