Picophotonics develops and manufactures Q-switched microchip lasers based on proprietary Semiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirror (SESAM) technology. Our mission is to provide a laser platform that bridges the gap between the performance of complex mode-locked lasers delivering picosecond pulses and conventional Q-switched lasers operating in the nanosecond regime at low repetition rates.
Picophotonics products cover pulse durations from 50 ps upwards with pulse repetition rates up top 200 kHz and tens of kW peak power. Product coverage includes MOPA platforms for power scaling as well as ultracompact OEM sources for portable integration.
