Sugita Glass Equipment Store was founded by Sugita Totaro in 1906 (Meiji 39) , and the company is an optical manufacturer with over 100 years of history. With glass research and manufacturing as its main business, the company has been supplying a wide variety of glass products to various fields for many years. In 1982, the company changed its name to its current name, Sugito Co., Ltd., and under the leadership of current president Sugita Tadakiyo, the company has promoted the expansion of its business, commercializing loupes, micrometer scopes, zoom lenses, optical components, etc., and further expanding its business to include microscopes, inspection equipment, light sources, etc. In 1993, the company opened a new factory in Thailand, improving its production capacity for glass products and lenses.
