The EOM-02-5-V from Photonics Technologies is a Magnesium Oxide-Doped Lithium Niobate (MgO:LiNbO3) Electro-Optic Phase Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 650 nm - 1000 nm. It has a modulation frequency of 5 MHz and modulation bandwidth of 300 kHz. This electro-optic phase modulator has an aperture diameter of 3 mm and crystal flatness of lambda/10. It has a standing wave ratio (SWR) of up to 1.1:1 and an impedance of 50 ohms (at resonance). This electro-optic phase modulator has an optional RF amplifier with a frequency response of 0.4 MHz - 150 MHz and gain of 20 dB. It has a diameter of 25.4 mm and length of 35 mm. This electro-optic phase modulator requires an AC supply voltage of 240 V and consumes 50 A of current.
The EOM-02-5-V supports BNC I/O connector and can be mounted in a standard 1-inch optical mirror mount. It is available in a module that measures 180 (L) mm x 204 (W) mm x 67 (H) mm and is ideal for the generation of side-bands on single-frequency lasers for high-resolution locking techniques, such as frequency modulation saturation spectroscopy or stabilization to an optical resonator, to combine with spectroscopic cells for laser locking to atomic or molecular transitions, and to stabilize single-frequency lasers by modulating a probe beam in a Frequency Modulation spectroscopy set-up while leaving the main beam unaffected (6.25 MHz, 12.5 MHz, and 25 MHz frequencies).
