The A-CUBES500-100 from Laser Components is a Silicon Avalanche Photodetector that operates at a wavelength of 400 nm - 1000 nm. It delivers an output power of 56 nW and has a bandwidth of 0.01 MHz - 100 MHz. This photodetector uses a SAR500 detector and has a responsivity of 15 MV/W (at 540 nm), 22 MV/W (at 650 nm) & 27 MV/W (at 905 nm). It has an active area diameter of 0.5 mm and a peak sensitivity of 905 nm. This photodetector has a Noise Equivalent Power (NEP) of 70 fW/rt(Hz) (at 540 nm), 45 fW/rt(Hz) (at 650 nm), and 40 fW/rt(Hz) (at 905 nm).

The A-CUBES500-100 has an output noise density of 1000 nV/rt(Hz) and a maximum input referred noise density of 2 pA/rt(Hz). It has an integrated preamplifier and an in-built temperature compensation circuitry. This photodetector supports FC connectors (optional) and can be controlled via an RS-232 interface. It requires a DC supply voltage of 12 V and is available in a compact package. This photodetector is ideal for APD evaluation, range finding / LiDAR, optical communication systems, spectroscopy, fluorescence, and medical applications.
