The Mesa 532-40-M from Amplitude Laser is a Diode Pumped Nd:YAG Laser that operates at a wavelength of 532 nm. It delivers an output power of 40 W (at 6 kHz & 10 kHz) and has a pulse width below 170 ns. This laser has a pulse-to-pulse energy stability of less than 2% rms and pulse repetition rate of 1 kHz - 30 kHz. It has a beam quality factor (M2) of up to 25 and pointing stability below 20 mrad RMS. This vertically polarized laser has a polarization extinction ratio of 100:1, beam divergence of 7 mrad, and produces a beam of diameter 4 mm. It can be controlled via MS Windows-based laser commander software and an RS-232 serial interface. This laser requires an AC supply voltage of 200-240 V (laser) & 230 ±10% V (chiller) and consumes 5 A (optical head) & 10 A (chiller) of current.
The Mesa 532-40-M has both air and water-cooled options. It is available in a compact & rugged package that measures 686 (L) x 171 (W) x 145 (H) mm (optical head), 509 (L) x 483 (W) x 177 (H) mm (power supply) and 699 (L) x 483 (W) x 411 (H) mm (chiller). This laser is ideal for scientific applications such as Ti:Sapphire pumping, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), combustion analysis, Laser Induced Fluorescence, LiDAR, resonance Raman spectroscopy, chemical analysis of macromolecules & laser microprobe analysis, and industrial applications like stent/glass/PCB/fine metal cutting, LCD/solar edge deletion, marking, wafer trimming, micro-hole drilling, ceramics scribing, fine wire stripping & diamond/gemstone processing.
