The CHR71000 from ams AG is a 70 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 10000(H) x 7096 (V). This image sensor has a pixel pitch of 3.1 x 3.1 µm2 and a full well charge of over 13 Ke-. It has a rolling shutter and delivers a frame rate of 3 fps at full resolution. This image sensor has a dynamic range of 63 dB and a temporal noise of 10 e-. It has a signal swing of 1 V at the sensor output in the lowest gain mode and a conversion gain of 63 µV/e- at the sensor output in the lowest gain. This image sensor has a sensitivity of 0.15 A/W at 550 nm and a fill factor of up to 50%. It has a dark current signal of 3.2 e-/s and an image lag of less than 0.1%.
The CHR71000 CMOS image sensor can operate in two read-out modes: windowing mode or sub-sampling mode. This image sensor requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 435 mW of power. It has an RGB Bayer Color filter pattern and photo response non-uniformity (PRNU) of 1.5% RMS. This RoHS-compliant image sensor is controlled via analog outputs interface and has 3.3 V CMOS I/O logic levels. It is available in a custom PGA 65 pins ceramic package that measures 39 x 34 mm and is ideal for machine vision, barcode scanners, automotive, motion monitoring, and miniature camera applications.
