The ML1256 from Modulight, Inc. is a Distributed Feedback (DFB) Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 1490 nm. It delivers an optical output power of 10 mW and has a spectral width of 0.11 nm & 0.07 nm (at 70 deg). This laser diode has a maximum modulation bandwidth of 4 GHz (at 60 deg) & 6 GHz and slope efficiency of 0.26 W/A & 0.16 W/A. It has a beam divergence of 26 deg (parallel) and 45 deg (perpendicular). This laser diode has a focal length of 3.87 mm and fiber coupling efficiency of 35%.

The ML1256 has a built-in InGaAs monitor photodiode (PD) with a dark current of 0.1 μA and monitor current of 100 μA. It has a monitor capacitance of 5 pF and serial resistance of 6 Ohms.
