The X Band Optical Delay Lines from RFOptic are Optical Delay Lines that operates at a frequency of 0.1 GHz - 12 GHz. They can be configured to form up to 4,096 delays and has a delay range of 0.001 μs - 500 μs. These optical delay lines have a delay accuracy of 0.5% and repeatability of 0.05%. They have spurious levels of -80 dBm with spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) of 105 dB/Hz2/3 and gain flatness of ±2.5 dB. These optical delay lines have a switching time of 10 ms and 1 dB compression point above 15 dBm.
The X Band Optical Delay Lines have a VSWR input/output of 2:1 and an input/output impedance of 50 Ohms. They have a phase noise of -130 dBc/Hz (at 6GHz at 10 KHz offset) and maximum input no damage of 20 dBm. These optical delay lines can be remotely controlled via USB interfaces, software, or locally through a navigation switch and LCD display. They support SMA RF connectors and FC/APC fiber connectors. These optical delay lines provide investment protection by allowing the addition of external spool(s).
The X Band Optical Delay Lines have additional options that include RF, optical bypass, amplitude control and dual ODL (2-way signal transmission). They supports single delay ODL, multi delay ODL, progressive variable ODL delay combinations, bidirectional ODL, multipath ODL, and mini ODL configurations. These optical delay lines require an AC supply of 110/220 V and are available in a 19-inch rack-mounted package that measures 440 mm x 500 mm x 133 mm. They are ideal for radar calibration testing, signal & phase noise processing, extension of radar range site, clutter canceler, EW systems, and altimeter applications.
