Lumileds has introduced new doomed 120o offering, in its LUXEON SunPlus 20 Line of horticultural LEDs, ideal for uniform, high PPF output. The new 120° radiation pattern, in addition to the already available 150o offering, enables more light to be directed at the crops. The line is designed to perfectly meet the needs of a number of growers.
With growers continuously looking for ways to boost crop yield, the new LUXEON SunPlus 20 LED’s higher PPF output and tighter radiation pattern, will enables them to increase their crop yield in a given area. With five color options, the LUXEON SunPlus 20 Line provides the industry’s widest spectral offering for horticultural applications in a compact footprint (2.0 x 2.0 mm). All the company’s horticultural LEDs are tested and binned by photosynthetic photon flux (PPF), at 85°C. The line also includes Cool White and broad spectrum Lime, which typically are used during crop inspection.
Lumileds will continue to offer the line of LUXEON SunPlus 20 LEDs to customers that prefer the 150° radiation pattern. Both LEDs are listed in the Lumileds Horticulture Lighting Calculator to test LED configurations prior to building fixtures. Users can select one LED combination that matches a crop’s requirements or adjust the light spectrum through different stages of plant growth. The newest addition to the LUXEON SunPlus 20 portfolio joins the already popular LUXEON SunPlus 2835 Line which was launched last November.
