Technica, a leading developer, manufacturer, and provider of premium quality of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors, arrays and cables has established a new FBG Manufacturing Facility and Advanced Technologies Center in Singapore. The new operation, Technicasa Singapore Pvt. Ltd., is located at 1 Yishun Industrial Street 1, Suite 08-18, A’Posh Bizhub, 768160, Singapore and is meant to boost the company's growth.
Equipped with state-of-the-art femtosecond laser stations, nano-scale positioning, micro-machining equipment, and advanced proprietary fiber processing technologies, Technica's engineering and manufacturing team in Singapore focuses on worldwide customers with special and unique FBG sensor requirements not currently addressable by existing volume production facilities in Beijing, China.
As the demand for FBG sensors grows in energy, security, transportation, structural health monitoring and other fields, the new generation of FBG sensors, sensing arrays and cables are immune to electro-magnetic interference (EMI), small, light, multiplexible, and are highly reliable. They support monitoring and controlling industrial and commercial processes, equipment and infrastructure.
Technica's latest products include:
- Thin-Fiber FBG Sensors for medical and composites applications;
- Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) FBG Sensing Cables for civil, geotechnical, and SHM applications;
- Through-The-Coating (TTC) written FBGs for applications requiring unusually high tensile-strength;
- Tilted FBGs for micro-bending sensors, refractometers, and concentration sensors for biochemical applications;
- Lensed FBGs for external cavity semiconductor lasers, fiber lasers, and DFB lasers.
- High-Temperature FBG and Regenerated FBG Sensors for industrial processes, turbines, and engines optimization.
