“Teledyne DALSA”, a global leader in machine vision, announced the release of their high resolution 16k line scan camera an addition to their Linea™ series of low-cost, high-value cameras. Linea cameras have addressed the market for machine vision applications and to deliver high speed and responsivity at a low cost.

The Linea 16k features a 3.5 µm pixel size and acquires images at line rates of up to 48 kHz. Based on the same platform used in the 2, 4 and 8k models, the 16k monochrome camera is compact, user friendly and matches with Teledyne DALSA’s new Xtium frame grabbers.

According to Behnam Rashidian, Senior Product Manager for Teledyne DALSA, the 16k model obscures the line between high end performance and low-cost while delivering both.

Features of the Linea single line scan cameras include:

  1. High responsivity in the visible and NIR wavelengths
  2. Multiple user coefficient and FFC calibration sets
  3. Independent regions of interest
  4. Support of Camera Link cables up to 10 meters

The cameras are ideal for general machine vision applications that include high resolution PCB inspection, flat panel color filter inspection, film and glass surface inspection, large FOV postal/parcel sorting, materials grading, food and web inspection, rail and road inspection, and pharmaceutical inspection.
