Poro Technologies, a pioneer in microLED and GaN-based semiconductor technology, announced a partnership with General Interface Solution, an integrated touch solution company invested by the Foxconn Technology Group. Both companies have stepped into the Augmented Reality (AR) area by investing in optical component and optical module business for micro-display applications.
This partnership will expedite the production of brightest, high pixel density, smallest and low-cost AR product for consumer applications. GIS’s proprietary technologies in optical component and module combined with Porotech’s world leading technologies in PoroGaN® MicroLED-on-Silicon (uLEDoS), Dynamic Pixel Tuning® (DPT®) Technology for micro-display platform will ensure the successful commercialization of AR products which includes glasses, head-up displays (HUD) and head-mounted displays (HMD).
