Quantel Laser, the world's leading specialists in lasers, has expanded its Q-smart series of pumped pulsed Nd:YAG laser with the introduction of the Q-smart EX, a high-energy nanosecond Nd:YAG laser designed to deliver superior beam quality for demanding applications. This advanced system offers up to 700 mJ per pulse at 1064 nm with a pulse duration of 6 ns at a 10 Hz repetition rate. The Q-smart EX ensures uniform energy distribution with a refined spatial profile, reducing hot spots and spatial modulation, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring precise beam quality.

Engineered for durability, the Q-smart EX incorporates ceramic reflectors that contribute to an extended flashlamp lifetime of up to 100 million shots. Its design also allows for seamless integration, featuring fully disconnectable cables and cooling lines for easy maintenance. The laser supports plug-and-play harmonic modules, allowing wavelength conversion down to 213 nm with automatic phase matching, enhancing its versatility.

The Q-smart EX is particularly well-suited for applications such as pumping dye lasers, optical parametric oscillators (OPOs), and titanium-sapphire (Ti:Sapphire) lasers. It also plays a crucial role in scientific research fields like Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). With its compact design, improved spatial profile, and enhanced operational flexibility, the Q-smart EX sets a new standard for high-performance laser systems in scientific, industrial, and technological applications.
