The Industry Standard AO Q-Switch from G&H are Fused Silica Acousto-Optic Q-Switches that operate at a wavelength of 1064 nm. They have an RF frequency of 24 MHz - 68 MHz and active aperture of 1.6 mm - 8 mm. These AOQS have an anti-reflective (AR) coating reflectivity of less than 0.2% per surface and single pass transmission above 99.6%. They have a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of up to 1.2:1, damage threshold over 1 GWcm-2, and maximum static insertion loss of 6%.

The Industry Standard AO Q-Switch AOQS have both compressional & shear acoustic modes and supports a BNC connector. They require an RF power of 50 W (compressional mode) and 100 W (shear mode). These AOQS are available in a package that measures 62 mm x 37.5 mm x 63.4 mm and are ideal for material processing such as marking, engraving, scribing, surface treatment, medical procedures (surgery) & scientific (PIV) applications.
