The 87-566 from Edmund Optics is a Variable Beam Expander that operates at a wavelength of 260 nm - 365 nm. It has a design wavelength of 355 nm and an expansion power of 2X - 8X. This research-grade beam expander has an aperture size of 15 mm (entrance) & 30 mm (exit) and a transmission of over 95%. It uses a fused silica substrate and has a laser V-coating with reflectance of less than 1% (at 260 nm - 365 nm). This beam expander has an angle of incidence of 0 ± 0.06 deg, a transmitted wavefront of up to 1/4th of wavelength, and damage threshold of 1 J/cm2. It is available in a compact design that measures 169 mm x 51 mm and is ideal for high power laser applications such as prototyping and R&D.
