The S13101 from Hamamatsu Photonics is a NIR CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 1280 × 1024 (SXGA). It has a rolling/global shutter that delivers a frame rate of 146 fps with a pixel size of 7.4 x 7.4 μm. This image sensor has a dynamic range of up to 66 dB (rolling) & 53 dB (global) and maximum photosensitivity of 16000 DN/lx·s (rolling) & 2000 DN/lx·s (global). It has a built-in timing generator, bias generator, amplifier, and 12-bit A/D converter. This image sensor requires a DC supply of 3.6 V and can be controlled via an SPI interface. The S13101 is available in a ceramic package with a borosilicate glass window and is ideal for machine vision, tracking, security, position and shape recognition of infrared light spot applications.
