The S13102 from Hamamatsu Photonics is a CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA). It has a rolling/global shutter that delivers a frame rate of 78 fps and has a readout noise of 5 e- rms. This image sensor has a dynamic range of up to 67 dB (rolling) & 60 dB (global) and maximum photosensitivity of 42500 DN/lx·s (rolling) & 5600 DN/lx·s (global). It has a built-in timing generator, bias generator, amplifier and 12-bit A/D converter. This image sensor requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and can be controlled via an SPI interface. The S13102 is available in a ceramic package with a borosilicate glass window and is ideal for Near-infrared (NIR) laser beam detection (position detection, pattern recognition) and image detection (wafer transmission image, vein authentication, etc.) applications.
