The MOPA-SLD-850 from Superlum is a Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) that operates at a center wavelength of 850 nm. It delivers an output power of 100 mW and has a power stability of less than 0.5%. This optical amplifier has an optical bandwidth (FWHM) of 10 nm - 15 nm and a spectral ripple of up to 2%. It has a polarization extinction ratio greater than 16 dB and maximum allowed feedback of 10 dB. This optical amplifier has a rise time of 2 µs and fall time of 0.5 µs.
The Superlum MOPA-SLD-850 has an ultra-high power Superluminescent Diode (SLD)-based light source and supports Corning PANDA PM 850 fiber. It is compatible with FC/APC or SMA female connectors and can be controlled via an RS232 interface. This optical amplifier requires an AC supply voltage of 220 V or 110 V (on request) and consumes 20 W of power. It is available in a module that measures 257 mm x 325 mm x 170 mm and is ideal for OCT (optical coherence tomography) imaging systems, FOG (fiber optic gyroscopes) & optical spectroscopy applications.
