The Lyra-OCS-1000 from Pilot Photonics is an Optical Frequency Comb Module that operates at a center wavelength of 1550 nm. It has 4 - 15 comb lines with a comb bandwidth of 200 GHz (at -40 dB) and spectral flatness of 3 dB. This OFC has a free spectral range of 10 GHz and tuning range of ± 1 nm. It delivers an average output power of 3 mW and has an optical linewidth of 300 KHz. This OFC module has maximum power stability of 1 dB and wavelength stability of 3 pm. It has a carrier-to-noise ratio of 40 dB and relative intensity noise of -130 dBc/Hz.

The Lyra-OCS-1000 includes an RF drive module and has a maximum turn-on time of 7s. It has a system warm-up time of 14 minutes and an optical signal rise time of 50 ms. This OFC module has an RF beat tone linewidth of 30 Hz (driven by laboratory synthesizer) and 400 kHz (driven by RF module). It has FC/APC PM fiber coupled output with SMA female RF input connector.

The Lyra-OCS-1000 requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V, a DC voltage of 12 V, and consumes a maximum power of 10 W. It is available in a module that measures 220 (L) x 190 (W) x 70 (H) mm and is ideal for terabit superchannel transmitters, flexgrid wavelength division multiplexing, generation of millimetre-wave & THz signals, generation of 5G signals, ultra-wideband (UWB) over fiber HD-video distribution, optical signal processing (e.g. optical clock recovery), precision optical measurements, spectroscopy, and sensor interrogation applications.
