The LOR-200 from Luciol Instruments is a Fully Portable Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) that operate at wavelengths of 1310 nm, 1480 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, 1625 nm or 1650 nm. It has pulse widths of 2 ns, 5 ns, 10 ns, 30 ns, 100 ns, 300 ns, or 1000 ns and sampling resolution of any multiple of 2.5 cm. This OTDR has a Rayleigh backscattering dynamic range above 30 dB (for 1000 ns) & 15 dB (for 2 ns) and measurement ranges of 0.5 km, 1.2 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, 40 km, 80 km, or 160 km. It has an event dead zone of 20 cm and attenuation dead zone of 50 cm.
The LOR-200 has a reflectance accuracy of ± 1.5 dB and loss accuracy of ± 0.1 dB ± 0.02 dB/dB. It uses single-mode or multimode fiber outputs and supports universal, APC, or PC-type connectors with FC, SC, or ST adapters. This OTDR is available in 3 options: FSV - fiber microscope end-face verification of connectors, USB connection, video displayed on LOR screen, DOP - dual output with two different fiber types, and OSW - optical switch for semi-automatic multi-fiber testing. (internal (up to 12 channels) or external switch with USB connection).
The LOR-200 can be controlled via 2x Ethernet RJ45, 4x USB 3.0, HDMI, headphone/Microphone, or optional WIFI/Bluetooth interfaces. It requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V -240 V and is available in a package that measures 320 mm x 240 mm x 90 mm. This OTDR is ideal for installation & maintenance of PONs & other optical networks, fiber optic sensors & fiber assemblies, fiber manufacturing & verification, loss & optical return loss testing for optical components, seeing & localizing events such as weak reflections or attenuations immediately after a larger reflection or an optical splitter, aviation, aerospace, defense, and telecommunication applications.
