The C-RED 2 Lite from First Light Imaging is a 0.3 Megapixel InGaAs SWIR Camera that has a spectral range of 0.9 µm - 1.7 µm. It has a resolution of 640 (H) x 512 (V) pixels with an electronic shutter that delivers a maximum frame rate of 600 fps. This SWIR camera has a flat quantum efficiency above 70% (at 1 µm - 1.65 µm) and pixel pitch of 15 µm. It has a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an image fuel well capacity of 1.4 Me- (low gain), 115 ke- (medium gain) & 34 ke- (high gain). This camera has a readout noise of less than 30 e- (at high gain) and linear dynamic range of 93 dB.
The C-RED 2 Lite supports USB 3.1 (Gen 1) or CameraLink® data interfaces, C-Mount & CS-Mount optical interfaces and has a built-in thermoelectric cooler without fan. This SWIR camera uses GUI first light vision software and SDKs that includes [C, C++, C#, Python, MatLab], LabVIEW, µManager & Halcon. It is available in a module that measures 78.1 (L) mm x 65 (W) mm x 65 (H) mm with an optional watercooling plate.
The C-RED 2 Lite is ideal for high-end industrial, scientific & astronomy applications such as non-destructive inspection, quality & production control, waste sorting, welding control, additive manufacturing & laser beam profiling, hyperspectral & multispectral imaging, microscopy & free space optics and also used in surveillance applications such as thermography, unmanned aerial vehicle, maritime surveillance & security/night vision.
