The SuperK COMPACT from NKT Photonics is a White Light Supercontinuum Source that has a spectral range of 450 nm - 2400 nm. It delivers an output power of over 110 mW and has a repetition rate of 1 Hz - 20 kHz (variable). This supercontinuum source has a spectral power density of 0.01 mW/nm - 0.1 mW/nm and visible power above 20 mW (450 nm - 850 nm) with power stability of less than ± 1%. It produces a Gaussian beam of diameter 1 mm (at 530 nm), 2 mm (at 1100 nm), and 3 mm (at 2000 nm).
The SuperK COMPACT has a TEM00 beam spatial mode and beam quality factor (M2) of up to 1.1. It has a maximum pulse width of 2 ns and pulse-to-pulse jitter of 2 μs. This unpolarised supercontinuum source features Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) technology and is compatible with all existing SuperK filters & accessories. It has CONTROL software and a software development kit (SDK). This single mode supercontinuum source can be controlled via a USB or 15-pin sub-D external interface and supports a 2-pin LEMO OB door interlock connector.
The SuperK COMPACT has a fiber length of 1.5 m and has a Collimator, FC/PC, or FC/APC fiber connectors. It requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and consumes less than 40 W of power. This air-cooled supercontinuum source is available in a robust & compact package that measures 220.5 mm (W) x 93 mm (H) x 367 mm (L) and is ideal for spectroscopy, CWDM/DWDM component test, optical coherence tomography, fiber & grating characterization, superluminescent diode (SLED) & as an alternative to amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) applications.
